Pre-show Stress Busters

Without a doubt, getting ready for the big trade show can be a stressful time. It’s even worse when you are on the road travelling as you are away from your regular routines to boot.

Here are some ways to ease the tension on your road trip:

Take a deep breath

Many relaxation experts suggest exhaling through your mouth, then closing your mouth and inhaling through your nose and holding your breath for seven seconds and exhaling for eight seconds. Repeat three times.

Tea time

Having a cup of herbal team about an hour or so before bedtime will not only help you sleep, thanks to the chamomile, but also help hydrate you?

Take a walk on the wild side

The morning of the show, try to get outside and take a short, brisk walk. Going around the block once or twice should suffice. A lunchtime walk will help ease your stress before a busy afternoon. After a supper, another quick jaunt will help you relax before calling it a night.

Stressful Trade Shows

Do something sweet

Enjoying a piece of chocolate is a great stress buster. Take the time to savor it and it will go a long way to helping to relax.

Enjoy a pint – with friends

Many studies have shown that having a beer, or a glass of wine if you must, with your buddies is an excellent way to reduce stress. It’s also a great way to talk about something other than the trade show, too.
